I need to rent some horror movies not everyone has already seen.
Suggestions?
I recommend the Obama Campaign Speech and Obama Victory Dance collection.
If you like gory flicks, check out Peter Jackson’s “Dead Alive”. It’s over the top.
Shadow of the Vampire
“Killer Clowns from Outer Space”
this is really scary for people who fear clowns (which are more than one would think!)_
Have you seen John Carpenter’s The Thing?
How about some of the old black and white movies. They have a quality that is quite different than the high tech of today. Godzilla is good for some laughs.
Paranormal Activity.
Hardly anyone I know has seen it. It’s not slasher horror, but it’s not a too-terrible psychological thriller.
The original Wicker Man-probably only serious, older film buffs have seen that.
Try comedy instead.
Young Frankenstein

*****
That’s enough to make your head spin and spew.
The only movie that made the hair on my neck stand up in the last ten years was ‘The Ring’. It came out several years ago and is based on a Japanese film. I didn’t know anything about it and ‘dicovered’ it about 2am during a bout of insomnia....
Don’t read up on it, just watch it if you haven’t seen it yet. Spooky stuff.
ROFL!!!
Paranormal activity was actually good IMHO. Wel, good as in having your GF crush you instead of snuggling due to her being afraid hehe.
The ending of the late 90’s film Haunted with a young, naked kate beckinsale I also recommended. Well, not because she’s naked which is a plus, but the ending blew everyone away...and rumored to be the ending that M Night Shyamalan stole for the 6th Sense.
An unusual one is Elephant, a movie roughly based on the Columbine shootings. It’s seriously one of the scariest films I’ve ever seen.
It’s not a horror movie, but after FR recommendations I do have “The Wicker Man” and it qualifies as a late night thriller.
