I think he was ‘created’ ... haven’t you noticed the bolt heads in his neck? He’s got a great makeup artist working on him ....

I saw one back in the late 50’s or maybe early 60’s. I thought it was great but it probably wasn’t. Anyway I have always wanted to see it again but can’t remember the title.

It was about these typical aliens from flying saucers but they killed by injecting you with pure alcohol from their steel like talons. They could not stand light.

Some of them were killed by a bull who hung out at the local lovers lane. All the kids would feed him beer and he had become sort of immune to alcohol. When the space men tried to kill him it had no effect.

Anyone recall the name of it?

I Bury the Living — nice chiller about cemetery manager (Richard Boone) who sticks pins into a map of the graveyard.

"Horror Hotel"

1960 Low budget but effective English horror movie. It seems largely forgotten today, but it is better than most. Christopher Lee.

"Freaks"

This movie was actually banned for many years, and probably would never be made today because many of the actors are real side show performers--no special effects. A must-see.

A number of American-made horror movies in recent years are actually re-treads of excellent Asian horror movies. They know American audiences won't read subtitles, so they remake the same story with American actors. Usually they aren't as good, and it's worth tracking down the Asian originals, such as the Japanese "Dark Water" or the Korean "Into the Mirror".

Some Asian horror will never be remade here, such as "Battle Royale", about a group of school children turned loose on an island in which the last one alive after all the rest have killed each other "wins". Very creepy. You will never forget it.
