I just use my fists. :O)
Take a look at the compact Smith and Wesson 9mm. It has 3 different sized grips, especially useful if you have a smaller hand. Also, the grip is contoured and much more comfortable than your Glock, in my opinion. Good luck and be safe!

My wife has shot an HK USP since 1994.I know that they’re expensive, but they are reliable.
Get a good used Beretta 380 (9mm short). A Model 84/85 Cheetah is a smaller modified version of a 92FS frame. It has a very good ‘feel’, good safety (not like Glock), good slide release, mag release, etc. 84/85 difference is single or double stack mags (which make the grip thicker).....I like mine as it fits in more areas in my car than a 92FS or 1911. You can get DRT rounds for it which make it more like a 9mm punch...
You might want to check out the m&p 9c. I really like it... not as much as my glocks, but my wife seems to prefer it.
Try this SIG SAUER P250 chambered in 9-mm:

I have this in 40 S&W.
Save up or get a loan.
My suggestion is a Kahr PM9
http://kahr.com/
It weighs 16 oz. and is quite accurate for a small 9mm.
I carry in my pocket so weight and size is important to me.
Also it has a laser sight for it which may be a good idea for you.

Look into Sig Sauer. One of the finest and best handguns ever produced. I recommend getting a factory refurbished one to keep the cost down and you’ll get one of the older ones with better QC than what they have today.
Before you buy, handle the gun and if possible, shoot one. Make sure you like it and it’s easy enough for you to control. You may find that a Kel Tec or S&W, or Taurus works better for you. Whatever gun you choose, make sure it feels good in the hand, you can shoot it comfortably, and it’s reliable.
PARA USA, Carry 9 has the comfortable feel of the 1911 Model.
I’ve been carrying the Glock 40 cal for about 15 years now, but last year I purchased the Ruger LCP .380 for strictly pocket carry.
It’s sort of in the wrong direction of H&K, but everything I’ve seen on the Ruger SR9C is impressive.
Kahr PM9, or if on a budget, the Taurus Slim 709.
Both have a real safety, so you can carry loaded (but safe) without being holstered. Glock trigger safety was made for a gun that remains in the holster.
If you are concealed, you may bump the trigger getting the gun into hand, and that’s not good.
PM9 - i spent ~1000 for mine WITH a crimson trace laser (custom for the Kahr).
Tarus 709 - around 300-350$ maybe, but no customer laser (yet) although I am sure give the price of the gun, they will follow.

Have you given any thought to looking for a used H&K?
One of the reasons why H&K’s are so expensive is the inventory requirements H&K puts upon their dealers - ie, that you can’t carry just the H&K products that might move more easily (like the USP and Compact USP). As a result, a dealer has a pretty large amount of cash tied up in H&K inventory which ain’t gonna move real quick, if ever.
I really like my Stoeger Cougar 9mm. It’s made by Beretta’s subsidiary Stoeger, using the same machinery that was used for the Beretta Cougar. Rotating bolt design makes the gun a soft shooter. Easy to strip and clean as well. Very reliable: I’ve shot probably 2000 rounds through it, and only one jam, which I think was the result of my wife limp-wristing a dirty gun.
Google “Walther P99c AS.” And you can find several good video reviews on YouTube, too.
I also liked the S&W MP9c, but every time I held it, I wanted to break out a Dremel tool and carve out the corner between the trigger guard and grip just a little, so my hand would sit higher.
Both the Walther and the S&W had overall very positive feedback in various pistol forums (as does the H&K).
Just hit a good gun show and handle a lot of different pistols . . . but check out the Walther. Its feel is very similar to the H&K.
Get to a gun show if you can, handling all of your choices prior to purchase is key to your decision.
