Today Oct 2nd, my wife and I went to Seattle to see my mom for her 95th birthday.
After a few miles as we drove to the ferry, I noticed something, actually the lack therof. There were no Obama stickers anywhere, not even on Toyota Priuses !
I became obsessed in finding how long this would last, so I looked at every single car we passed. I even looked in the rearview mirror when possible, and at parked cars on the roadside. I did not see a single one, even when we got to the ferry parking lot 20 miles from home!
We got off the ferry in Mukilteo. I was absolutely driven to find one by now. I HAD to see how long this phenomenon would last.
We drove East to I-5 past Boeing Everett. Still no bumper stickers of any kind. Finally! I saw one on a shiny pickup truck up ahead. It was for the US Marines. Shortly after that I saw a couple of Baby on Board signs in back windows. Going down I-5, still NOTHING. I checked every single car, and there was a lot of traffic. We exited near Greenlake after driving approximately 20 miles from the ferry. We drove past the Starbucks, bike shops near the lake, a VERY BLUE part of Seattle. It's similar to the Freemont District in its left leaning aura, but we saw NO bumper stickers of any kind !
After visiting with my mom, we started home in heavy traffic again. Not a bumper sticker in sight until 15 miles or so later. As we approached Everett, the only one we saw was a home made sign on the back of a motor home which said,
"We Will REMEMBER in November".
We saw not another sign of any kind as we drove through Everett for a side stop.
When we finally arrived at Mukilteo's ferry holding lot, I spied a very raggedy Obama bumper sticker on a beat up pickup truck.
After we exited the ferry and drove the 20 miles home, not a single bumper sticker could be found. I must have checked out the bumpers of a thousand cars.
This is very weird.
Theories, please !!

It’s Hoosier Classic Weekend in Indianapolis. Obama stickers are EVERYWHERE, especially plates from Illinois and Georgia.
Obama t-shirts were all over downtown and the stadium.
I wonder if it’s RACIST to have noted that??
In my part of Colorado, you still saw a few Obama stickers up until 2-3 months ago. Naturally, they were almost all on Priuses. Now, though, there are none at all. I haven’t seen an Obama sticker in weeks. And mind you, I live in Boulder County.
I’m in L.A. too, but see FAR fewer of them then I used to.
Remember that “Clunker” car program? There ya go.
A fair amount of them are in downtown Columbia SC. I need to get a Nikki Haley sticker or two for myself.
My neighbor’s daughter and her husband still have one on their car..only one I’ve seen in these parts. Every time I see that sticker I feel sorry for them and especially their young kid who will be paying for all Obama’s debt and if Obama gets re-elected will grow up in an America that could no longer be the land of the free.
I saw one yesterday while going to The Grove, that is the area I used to see them all the time. Now, not so much..driving there I’ll see maybe one, two at the most. Its funny because this city is majority liberal yet they don’t display their dear leader’s bumper sticker anymore. Even they are embarrassed to have that garbage on their cars
There has been no noticeable reduction of Obama bumper stickers in Chapel Hill.
FYI, 85% of the households derive their primary income from a federal, state or local government job, or SS or welfare.
Said another way, only 15% of the households in Chapel Hill derive their income from free enterprise.
The dim stooges next door will have any all dim propaganda signs out at the appropriate time. They are blind fools who are probably getting a handout hence their blind loyalty.
I am in Burien. I still see many Obama stickers, but not nearly as many as I used to.
The Democrat machine will find enough votes from somewhere to get Patty back, for sure. Just like they did for Christine.
Don’t blame me either. I only voted for PALIN!
McCain just happened to be a hangers on .
lol— palin was the ticket for me too- she was the only reason mccain got my vote..
Saw a few in Santa Barbara today (on BMWs and one really fancy sports car, of course). Hope they saw my SUV’s “No Socialism” sticker as I passed them by!
You must have been in the wrong part of town. Up in the north end in Shoreline, there are Obama stickers everywhere.
I’m in Hollywood and I just passed by 2 imbeciles with those stickers in the past 30 minutes. It’s deeply entrenched here so that’s the only excuse I could give ya...aside from being stubbornly loud about their own stupidity.
