Hopefully this November will be one where America changed for the better by True Republicans sweeping out the Democrat vermin in Congress AND Michigan torching OSU!
This was part of my motivation to buy my farm in central Kentucky.
I bought it in October of 2008.
Fix that and other problems would get a lot easier to deal with.
I have tried for two years to do the same thing, some farm country in Missouri, 20-30 acres, a little water, crop land, some trees. The wife the city girl says no way.
Politically, I think linking Bush/Obama is a good thing. Neither were or are popular. It also happens to be true when it comes to economic policy (just a matter of degree . . . it matters . . . but only to a degree. And it will open up the minds of some independents and conservative Dems that rightly know that Bush did a lot of things wrong.
Where do we go from here?
Jesus !
It was Republicanism that failed us by trying to play nice with Liberals and Progressives, and it will be a return to Conservatism that finally brings this Country back, if indeed that can be done.
November is shaping up to be the House cleaning we have needed for a long, long time; but the Senate is another matter entirely, and will require more than one election to clean up. 2012’s Congressional races are going to be an even more decisive in a Presidential election year than the 2010 Mid Terms already promise to be. Take a look at who is up for reelection in the US Senate in 2012 and start doing some mental arithmetic about how many resignations (re: “retirements”) there will be among career politicians who will soon realize they don’t stand a snowball’s chance in hell of riding Premier Hussein’s coattails to victory.
I share some of your frustration with George Bush, but his Leadership after 9/11 softens a lot of my more vocal criticism of him. He was and still is an outstanding Republican, but he never was a particularly Conservative man, at least not of the political caliber we need today.
Look ahead, that is where your challenges lies. Leave History to the Historians for now...
Make no mistake, Bush was a one-worlder and Obastard is, too. The difference is that Bush believed that we could raise the living standard in the whole world by giving up sovereignty while Obastard wants the whole world under a totalitarian government with everyone equally poor while he and the elite rule from on high.
Oh, the it’s booosh’s fault crap. again.
That Obama has spent more than all Presidents from George Washing to Reagan...
Yep...booosh’s fault.
P.S. The current TEA Party movement is a rejection of the one world elitists and the firm knowledge that you cannot give the lazy and stupid enough to make them productive citizens.
When it happens to us it will be worldwide. Notice I did not say “if”.
LOL
Do you ever think or see past the tip of your nose ?
I loved President Bush. I stood up for him and carried his water in my social circles for several years.
Before the 8/28 Rally, I was despairing of our fate as a nation. I truly believed that violence was the only way out. I can’t really explain why, but that rally just lifted my spirits. We, as a nation, are going to be ok. I think we’re going to have to go through some very difficult times. But we’re going to be ok.
It starts with each one of us doing our best, taking care of ourselves and our families and standing on the solid base of our Founding Principles. Vote - in every election - from dog catcher to President. Vote for the person who most embodies the Founding Principles.
I think we’re going to have some really tough times economically. But I think we are returning to our core and we’ll be ok in the long run. Your kids and grandkids will reap the benefits of you holding firm TODAY!
