Bob Feller of all people let me down...he lost to the Tigers, and the Tigers clinched the pennant. The Tribe fades late...but this will become a staple in Cleveland.
What is also apparently a staple in Cleveland is the welcoming atmosphere by the fans, and their appreciation of the opposing ballclub. Hah! Even the Cleveland women get in on the act!
Anyone remember 10 cent beer night back about 1974 or 1975?

Feller let you down with a 3-hitter??
Maybe say the team let Feller down by getting shut out!
Anytime a pitcher throws a 3-hit, 2-run game they put their team within striking distance of victory.
If the team can’t score 3 runs then it seems absurd to blame a pitcher like Feller for the loss.

You’re right; the team wasted a 3-hit performance. But I’m just accustomed to getting a “W” whenever he takes the hill...
It seems every team has the statute of their “god” outside their new ballpark. It’s a no-brainer on whose statue is outside Jacobs Field (no, I will not call it by the corporate name).
