I think you are too hard on the Segway as a product.
I have looked into the x2 Golf model. It is the off-road x2 unit with a rack for your golf bag. Two of these units cost slightly less than a EZ-Go electric golf car.

One other point: He personally donated £23m to
Help for Heroes, a UK Wounded Warrior charity, and
Leeds Community Foundation, a local charity for the town of Leeds.
Don't asume he's a liberal simply because he owned Segway.

Did you check into anything about this guy other than the accident that brought about his tragic death? This man's product saved countless military and civilian lives over the last couple of decades.
Would a lot of folks on this thread feel better about the guy if he had driven a F-350 Super Duty or Harley Road King over the cliff?
