Fort Myers chiropractor offers husband's motorcycle in exchange for his death
A Fort Myers chiropractor hired a man to kill her husband and planned on paying for the murder-for-hire with the husband's Harley, police said.
Kimberly Alters, 53, is in the Lee County jail facing five different charges after police arrested her Sunday for plotting to kill her husband, 58-year-old Bernard Alters.
A confidential informant told deputies that Kimberly met him at the Lee County Wellness Center and gave him a photo of Bernard and $125 to buy a gun.
The same informant claims Alters told him if he shot her husband, she would give him a $40,000 Harley Davidson motorcycle that belongs to her now still-living husband.
Alters was arrested and is now charged with solicitation to commit murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
On Monday, a judge set her bond at $300,000.
Where you been pricing Harley’s? I have only seen them that expensive in Windsor, Canada the custom expensive one’s and their dollar was 150 to 1.00. Never seen an electa glide sold for over 17K new. They must have seen you coming.
Back to the Doc, it could not have happened that way. I would bet the informant made the whole thing up trying to get the motorcycle. You know like saying Honey if you gave me his cyle I’d take are of him for you, just buy me the gun; and she would say sure, I just happen to have 125 dollars in my purse. Once he got involved with the offer, he realized that he was either going to jail or her.
Depends on if you mean medical doctor, a chiropractor is a physician with a doctoriate degree. Its more college than medical school, been there. A D.O. is both.
Welp...she offered a $40,000 Harley for the hit, and ended up with $300,000 bond.
I wonder if she put up the Harley as bond? lol

This year they will come out with a reverse and next year they all will be water cooled.

Yes...but she was expecting to own the Harley outright if her husband was offed.
I’m sure he will be giving a lot of thought to her bail arrangement. ;o)
