Sounds like your Saturday afternoons were like mine....double feature, news-of-the-day, cartoon, short subject, coming attractions, ushers with flashlights, Milk Duds, Holloway all-day suckers, 5-cent popcorn, and time to actually go to the loo, LOL.

All for 10-cents...and you could stay for another round of heaven if you wanted.

I was struck by the movie ads shown above. What an array of fabulous, enduring movies! What distinctive stars! What a film choice you could make between terrific, good, mediocre...and deliciously horrible.

If those years were the Golden Age of Hollywood, what would today's movie era be called....the Plastic Age of Hollywood, maybe?
