"The Howards of Virginia" sounds like a real Freeper movie! How did I ever miss it when I was a young skull full of mush!
I have to agree with the reviewer....I really can't buy Cary Grant as a backwoodsman. I'll bet he never had a hair out of place or a burr sticking to his elegant trouserd!

"The Howards" is one of Mrs Mag's all time favorite movies. Grant has always been her favorite actor. Apparently you are treated to seeing rather more of Mr Grant than was customary in movies of this age.
Cary Grant wasn't insistant on being immaculate. Did you ever see "Father Goose"? He loved making that.
