I think I read somewhere that giant squid have an extremely high ammonia content in their flesh, which would make them inedible to us. Apparently, the sperm whales have tongues and stomachs of iron.

Awesome photos. When I was fishing in Baja several years ago we had a small pod of sperm whales swim by our boat about 100 feet away. Amazing!
I am having calamar for dinner tonight.
