I dunno about all that, but it was painful trying to watch a Breitbart vid yesterday on youtube...start/stop/continue - every few seconds...at one point, I decided just to get thru it no matter what, but it took a long time...during one of the many pauses, I wondered if they were slowing his vids down.../conspiracy...

Mixed feelings here. I run a couple of websites. I pay the freight. My house, my rules. This site is Jim’s. His house, his rules. Youtube and Google are private enterprises. They can promote whatever they want. I’d prefer that they were as upfront about their partisanship as we are here, rather than doing what the media does- hiding behind a mask of disingenuous neutrality.

I am however, completely opposed to them tracking users’ searches. That pretty much violates their own ‘do no evil’ ideal. While my websites are ‘my house’, there is such a thing as abusing your users. Reading their PMs is abusing them, for example.

I suppose to be consistent, I should swear off of Google and Youtube if I don’t like how they’re running their services.

As for equating Truthers and Patriots with terrorists- there are crackpots in the Patriot movement and I’ve yet to hear a Truther that made any sense at all. Terrorists murder people. Truthers and crackpot-grade Patriots bore their friends with endless conspiracy nonsense. Kind of a difference there.
