My grandfather gave my brother and me a baseball signed by Johnny Vander Meer when we were kids.
My brother took it out to play ball with with and lost it a few days later.

Johnny Van derMeer, Bucky Walters, Junior Thompson, Paul Derringer...still hallowed names when I started my Reds fan career at Crosley Field in the late ‘50s. Cincy Reds...Thats Baseball!
