beautiful pix. The first one gave me a chuckle as I recall micro photos of various spores, intestinal tracts etc having a similar experience

I LOVE travel & have not been able to do much the past couple decades.. so the internet & cinema are my ways to compensate

Legend has it that there is a “black mountain” in Columbia loaded with fist sized emeralds. The only white man to have seen this mountain came back with a pocket full of such beauties and a description of the mountain. After being hopelessly lost in the jungle for an extended period of time, however, he was unable to pinpoint the mountain’s location. I wonder what kind of treasures lie in those badlands?

The Guajira in the NE...my old stomping grounds of Rioacha and Maicao are dry as a bone 95% of the time

bleached trees and arroyos and sandy soil..and lots of death
