I doubt this will normalize anything. Normal makes for boring TV, Big Love is a success because it has drama, if this show succeeds it will also be because of the drama. People like to see drama, but most don’t actually want to live it. Complicated lives tend to be unhappy lives (just look at how reality stars go through spouses), but they sure do make good TV.

They'll watch it though because of the shock value and unnaturalness of it. Of course our dimmest bulbs out there will FEEL that this is NORMAL and will DEFEND it, even though, “THEY WOULDN”T DO IT” ... doesn't that sound familiar?
