Another one of these MUBM (mysterious unidentified black man)-—but in this case MUBWoman——cases where the guilty party
reaches to the handiest “perp”, and they turn out to be the ones that did it. Remember Charles Stuart, about 20 years ago in Boston, who killed his pregnant wife, collected about a half million life insurance policy, blamed a MUBM, even picked out a guy named Willie Bennett in a lineup, and was found to have killed his wife himself.
I remember Tawana Brawley. I remember the Duke lacrosse team. Etc. etc.

Susan Smith too used the “blame the black guy(woman)” tack.
So did Joran v.d. Sloot and his Indian friends for a day or two.
There was also Jesse Anderson, the guy in Milwaukee who did the same thing.
He was later killed in prison at the same time as Jefferey Dahmer.
She may have gotten the idea after hearing about this:

Still doesn’t explain the motivation, though.
