Vancouver, WA — Amid growing speculation, a Vancouver woman who made international headlines for reporting that a black woman threw acid in her face confessed to police today that the attack was self-inflicted.
At a press conference this afternoon, Vancouver Police Department officials said they served a search warrant this morning at a residence where Bethany Storro was staying and took several items. Upon questioning Storro about what they found, police said she confessed the attack was a hoax.

It’s true, it seems to happen more often from Black to white, at least in high-profile cases. I wasn’t trying to make a case for guilty white/innocent black, just pointing out a precedent for this particular case. It’s ironic, though, that it works both ways, and that one seems to inspire the other, in a kind of ‘getting-even’ pattern
which will probably never end.
There was also Jesse Anderson, the guy in Milwaukee who did the same thing.
He was later killed in prison at the same time as Jefferey Dahmer.
Why as a judge? Did the judge do something wrong?
Or professional race baitors?

I bought her cheery forgiving attitude hook/line and sinker.
The article I read is she started screwing up her story right before she was to go on Oprah.
Something about she did it to bring light to her Christian faith.
Well she shot a bullet in that.
She is now going to jail, owes thousands of money back to all those well wishers who sent money for her medical and didn’t do a thing to help the Christian walk/faith.
She got some spailin/apologizin’ to do big time.

If she had blinded herself, I’d think she was completely deranged, but the fact that she had the sense to protect her eyes shows there was logical calculation behind her deception. Lock her up.

This is great news for Jesse Jackson. It will allow him to exploit this story to advance his own agenda, just as he did with the Susan Smith hoax a number of years ago.
I never would have expected that someone could do that to herself.
But on the other hand, I could never understand the part of the story where she said a black woman did this to her.
Absent some boyfriend connection, I just couldn’t see this as the type of attack a random black woman would launch at a white woman. THe white girl wasn’t dating a black guy or anything.
So I guess I’m not surprised that it isn’t true. But still shocked someone could do this to herself.
Although, I’m betting she didn’t realise that she should dilute the acid before using it......

which was only 120 miles or so away, and allegedly involved a black man.
Still doesn’t explain the motivation, though.
