I’ve had my same tagline for several years. Don’t EVEN get me started. Afterschooling - saxon, singapore, and key curriculum are my favorites. The spiraling, group-work, reflective, reform math is garbage. I graduated from HS in 87 - good math student - no one ever suggested I become a teacher. I am an engineer (actually, only a Mom, right now). Guess who teaches? Non-math people. Guess who writes curricula and runs school systems into the ground.
In college, the first day of class one of my teachers showed us his old college calculator. He’d driven a 9” spike through it upon graduation because he hated math and figured he’d never use any.
Guess which subject he taught?
“actually, only a Mom”...I am glad to see you made the best choice for your children. Being a mom is a lot more important then being an engineer. You are doing something a could never do...being a mom :)

Homeschool parent here. We've also used Saxon and Key-To. Saxon does use the spiral method, which seems to work for some people but not for everyone. Every student is unique.
