Kraut and Barnes on the Grapevine panel..Are we living in another Universe?

Posted on 09/15/2010 4:19:40 PM PDT by Mountain Mary

As if last night's Perino and Rove tantrums weren't torturous enough to have to sit through...Now we have Karl 1, 2 and 3(I missed the name of the woman). Am I imagining that I just heard all three of them jump the shark and continue to rip O'Donnell, Angle and other Tea Party backed Conservatives as being weak and unelectable? Barnes said that the main goal of the GOP should not be to elect Conservatives but to defeat Dems. Uh huh, Fred. HOW ABOUT BOTH, Beltway Boy? Maybe living in DC for too long has affected their reasoning powers and thus: GO ROVE!

No, he’s not gay and please don’t go there.

He is an elitist entrenched Washingtonian who is conservative on some issues but not an actual conservative.

Every few years more people “re-discover” this fact when he does something incredibly stupid as he did yesterday. Fred Barnes, well, I used to put him in the Hannity camp. Generally conservative with default to the establishment but ever since we went all out for Miers I dumped him fast. When it comes to this type of issue I think even Juan has a better grasp on the issue then they do.

It put a vile taste in my mouth watching this “panel”. Not once did they say the GOP needs to support the winner. In fact, they all but said the GOP should dump the winners and support the democrats.

The Victory Train is roarin' out of the station loaded with conservative Young Turks....leaving the establishment Old Jerks on the platform, flailing away helplessly.

We're referring to you, Barnes, Kraut, Rove, etal! Do you hear us?

Fred Barnes said that ODonnell could win... Uphill, but possible. More difficult than if Castle had won the primary.

WTH is wrong with that? Barnes wasn’t dismissive of O’Donnell.

I, for one, am sick of these Washington elitists, democrat or republican, telling ordinary people how to think. Screw’em

Amen to that. I'm with you and I know there are millions more.

Why do so many people here not understand differences in opinion? Part of it in your case might be a lack of listening skills as people do not lump Angle and ODonnell together as one.

Rove supports Angle etc, but thinks ODonnell cant win in the general. It is a different thing to have less than reliable conservative Senators representing AK, UT or NV than to have a less than reliable conservative Senator representing DE. Now I think Castle was so bad he needed to lose under any circumstances, but I can understand and respect differences of opinion.

Out with the old, stale, stuffy, mothballs group including the panel on Fox.

In with the “Young Guns” and the Tea Party candidates. Who says you have to be in the “in group” to win anyway???? That’s soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo yesterday.

I haven’t donated to the GOP in years. I’ll give directly to the candidate that I want 100% of my donation to go to.

If everyone would stop donating to the GOP it would dry up and go away. Then we could have a Reagan republican party.

The problem with both Barnes and Krauthammer is that they both live and breathe beltway politics. They haven't got a clue how things really are here in the heartland. They are both often right, but when they are wrong, as they are now, they are VERY VERY wrong.

What Barnes said was “Everyone who voted for O’Donnell is an idiot and now we can’t win the senate. And they should have enough sense to vote for a “winner” even if he’s a communist.” Not in those words but that’s what he meant.

This whole thing reminds me of Caddy Shack.

Rodney Dangerfield is the Tea Party.

Ted Baxter is the Establishment.

I’m sorely disappointed too.

It seems that the elites of both parties are out of touch, and even more, afraid that their cozy little Washington beltway world is about to be swept away.

Well, until I get kicked off Free Republic I’ll go anywhere I want to go.

His supercilious condescention to women candidates is sickening. He even got defensive about his sexism on Fox last night. Did you see it?

Actually, I was trying to be nice in suggesting he might be gay. I’m sure the poor man has other problems.

I also think Christopher Hitchens (please God make him well!!!!!!!) has been weirdly hateful towards Sarah. I remember him talking about her “swiveling hips” being a liability towards political office.

With the exception of my husband and the great Dennis Miller, Sean Hannity and Mark Levin, I think these creeps have real trouble with women.

Me too. I am sick to death of them. I hope the voters pay attention to these pundits that are always saying how stupid we are. We don’t know what’s good for us. Yadda, yadda, yadda.
