Latest Color Of Change Slam Against FNC: Free ‘Turn Off FOX’ Stickers

Topping the internet’s most popular news aggregators today is the no-strings-attached offer by grassroots, web-based organization ColorOfChange.org to provide anyone who wants one a “Turn Off FOX” sticker, free of charge (yes, even shipping). And who isn’t a fan of free things? Or simple bumper sticker activism for that matter. And while, most casual liberals may see this as a random grassroots giveaway, but it’s actually a part of Color of Change’s long struggle against FOX News.

Color of Change first seriously battled the network last summer, when they lead the charge of getting advertisers to drop Glenn Beck after he said President Obama held a “deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture.“ Then in September, Glenn Beck got his revenge when a petition saying the Bush administration “may indeed have deliberately allowed 9/11 to happen” was found with the signature of Color of Change founder Van Jones on it. Though Jones vehemently denied this was a stance he held, the damage was done and he was forced to resign as Obama’s Green Jobs Czar.

Now today, the organization is striking again by giving out these “Turn Off FOX” stickers to anyone in America willing to sign a petition saying FOX is “spreading hate, lies and division.”

FOX and ColorOfChange.org have had a long and conflict-filled history. So perhaps as the people who chose to do so are putting these stickers on their cars, they get reminded that it’s also time we all learn to Coexist.

Every one of us should order as many of them as we can so long as they are postpaid and free. It is a good way for that group to spend its money- supplying trash bins and burn piles all over this land.

ColorOfChange.org exists to strengthen Black America’s political voice. Our goal is to empower our members—Black Americans and our allies—to make government more responsive to the concerns of Black Americans and to bring about positive political and social change for everyone.

We were heart-broken and outraged by the catastrophe that followed Hurricane Katrina. And we were devastated to realize that no African-American organization or coalition had the capacity to respond on the necessary scale.

Hurricane Katrina made it clear that our lack of a political voice has life-and-death consequences. With no one to speak for them, hundreds of thousands of people—largely Black, poor, and elderly—were left behind to die. But it wasn’t just Black folks. Poor, sick, and elderly people of every color were abandoned too. We are not alone, and when we work to protect Black lives and interests, we do the same for all who have been left behind in political silence.

ColorOfChange.org is comprised of Black folks from every economic class, as well as those of every color who seek to help our voices be heard. Our members are united behind a simple, powerful pledge: we will do all we can to make sure all Americans are represented, served, and protected—regardless of race or class.

There is a condition to getting the stickers.

I want a “Nancy Who?” bumpersticker rather than the “Fire Pelosi” version which is clearly out of date.

If it wasn't for Fox News and the Internet, we would all be Chinese or Saudi slaves right now. I don't think that's grand standing either. Clearly, Fox is willing to go where others won't go. But even they have limits. Fox did more to expose the US Air Force Jill Metzger scandal then any other network-—Greta and Steve Centanni found out Major Metzger was subpoenaed before a Federal Grand Jury in Alexandria VA. But when fire appeared, they backed off to protect the Air Force brass-—a brass that was later fired anyway (over lost nukes and nuke components being sent to Taiwan accidently)

ROFLOL...Color of Change, by this tactic, is admitting...of course...that people have already TURNED ON FOX. That is true, but so funny that they are admitting what a threat FOX must be to the lying liberal run networks and left-wing groups. Making a bumper sticker to tell Americans to turn off a network is only an admission that they realize how popular the network really is.

And as if it could help. Most cars that would display this bumper sticker will probably be the beat up clunkers, driving along with those little doughnut tires, and plastic trash bags where the windows should be...with Obama stickers peeling on their bumpers. Who pays attention to what those people say/think?
