What happened to Glenn Beck??(VANITY)

Posted on 09/15/2010 7:21:21 AM PDT by NCBraveheart

It has taken me a while for me to finally notice this. Approximately 2 years ago Beck was on the radio talking pitchforks and torches. About fighting back against the liberal-progressive tide. Now he is talking about what seems to be a national Kum-Byah-Ya and group hug? It seems he has become more interested in shilling for Beck Inc. rather than raising a call to action. I may be viewing it wrong but that is just how I see it.

John Adams recognized what the bottom line is; for this experiment called America to be lasting and successful, the people need to know and practice the difference between right and wrong. Good and evil. Pretty basic stuff, but with the popularity of “moral relativism” lately, you have to wonder.

As a young lad thumbing through Children’s Highlights magazine, I always got a kick out of Goofus and Gallant. Goofus being the selfish little brat who always pissed people off by being oblivious to those around him.

Maybe it’s time for “Barack and George”? Example: “George always wears a jacket and tie in the Oval Office. Barack shows up in smelly gym clothes and puts his feet on the desk.”

We seem to have drifted so far from the basics, that many Americans can’t even see land anymore. And no compass, either. And too busy watching Springer to learn celestial navigation...

Part of is may be that as he gets deeper into AA (acholics anonymous), he's mellowing. I believe Beck has only been sober about 5 years or so. If you've never known anyone with an addiction, then when they first get sober, they tend to be incredibly arrogant and full of themselves. Humility only develops over time.

Rediculous: the Tea Parties were never violent even when we were in the “Pitchfork, and ‘tar-and-feather’” mode!

He’s just getting a bigger group together because we need more pitchforks in November.

I agree. That's what it looks like he's trying to do.

Oh so I guess being concerned about people’s real souls, and questioning Mormon theology is now “anti-Mormon” funny how that logic works..!

“Tea Parties were never violent even when we were in the “Pitchfork, and ‘tar-and-feather’” mode!’

True, but the tea parties were being painted as such. Yelling and carrying signs was spun by the MSM as violence!

In 2008, Beck was trying to warn a disbelieving country that Obama was a radical Leftist posing as a moderate. Now, with Obama in office and revealed for what he is, and his and his party's popularity in collapse, the public is listening.

Thus Beck must educate and inspire a now attentive and growing audience. He has adopted a tone appropriate to those tasks.

A similar difference is evident when one compares the sharp warning tone of Reagan's 1964 speech for Goldwater and his inspiring and broad themed 1980 "City on a Hill" acceptance speech at the Republican Convention. The public was ready to listen in 1980 and Reagan's task was to close the sale and secure the right to lead the country.

Here's a prediction: the Republican nominee in 2012 will deliver a convention acceptance speech that sounds a lot like Reagan in 1980 and like Beck does today and will sound in 2012.

The crowd he drew in DC was only about ONE THING. GLENN BECK. A year ago, he clearly saw the size of the 9/12 march on DC (much bigger than his gathering this year). Why else do you think HE HARDLY MENTIONED IT this year and, instead, spent a great deal of time and money scheduling his “LOOK AT ME” event just two weeks before 9/12? He clearly knew he could peel off a large portion of those folks.

I appreciate a great deal what he has been and is doing to raise awareness about this administration. However, the 9/12 march last year was about PRINCIPLE.... not a personality. I like a great deal of what he does but I have zero trust in him and I certainly don’t want him identified as one my “my leaders”.

Most folks have caught on to beck—he is for all the things that his masters at FauxNoose wants him to be for, but against all the establishment wants him to be against—for instance, the 9/11 controversy, the FEMA camps, the birthers, etc, etc.

But even now he’s all for lincoln and his war of aggression against (felloe Americans) the south, etc.
Why does he speak out against those who are aware of the truth fthese things?

And many writers have gone far further into detail on all of the above and more.

In fact I have posted links to the above mentioned writers here many times only to have URLs deleted by moderators, and usually due to the urging of offended beckers here on fr.

The people have always, from the start, wanted their king, and now they have their kings and pseudo-heroes.

The best thing that could now happen is that the people now pissed and finally ready to vote the bums out are successful—and that they destroy both parties not just one.

The rats will always be around in one form or the other—no matter what they call themselves democrats, liberals, progressives, marxists, commies, whatever. The poor will ever be with us.

But it would be a mistake to leave the pubs behind intact—those who represent only the other side of the two-headed coin of the two-party system—the lesser of the two evils. Not only the RHINOs but the AINOs—American In Name Only!

The so-called t-party is nothing more than the last remnant of Americanism left in what’s left of our old USA—it’s now or never. They are p!ssed and ready. The enemy knows this and scared sh!tless and more dangerous than ever.

The Internet is one of the last pitchforks we have and they know it—they are scared sh!tless of it—they want that pitchfork—they want it bad!

Beware all who call themselves Patriots, Conservatives, real Americns are not so, nor do they have our best interests at heart.

Many are now awake, but THINK also!

Don’t let the bigmouths do your thinking for you and/or for others.

Pat was at the wrong time—We need his firebrand style now. Closest thing we have is Sarah Palin. Now we need someone like Pat B and Bay B. The revolution is starting. I recall one of Pats last greatest speeches about the stone that was rejected will become the cornerstone for a new building. That new building is the Tea Party Patriots. The fire is the torch of truth. Glenn Beck may not know it but he started something that will sweep him up into it. Like Washington, he will be nudged into taking a role in the re-construction of America. He will have a say in the future of the USA.

I don’t think of Glenn as anything more or less than the rest of us. He is a fallible human as we all are who has been granted access to a large audience, and thankfully has chosen to speak of God as the foundation of all that is good for a nation.

He has said over and over, and I take him at his word, “I am a dad.” I believe this is his singular and soul motivation. I am also sure that he is a hero to his children. We should all be so motivated. Our country would not be where it is today if we were more concerned about what we were leaving for our children, rather than what we were getting for ourselves. We “give” our children a lot, but most of it is just stuff, nothing for their spirits to soar with. Freedom makes the spirit soar, “stuff” weighs it down.

Does Glenn always get it right? No. Neither do I. So I won’t throw stones. Do I agree with his chosen religion? No, but I will speak with him privately about that, should an opportunity arise. Is he getting wealthy from his endeavors? Surely! And I am happy for him. If a man does not work, neither shall he eat.

Long story short, Glenn is Glenn. Let’s put our “firm reliance” on the real source of truth, God. With Him all things are possible.

Unfortunately, Gandhi believed that violence was always forbidden, even in defense of one’s own freedom.

That doesn’t jibe with the second amendment.

Mormons are not Christians, and Mormons are the only ones that claim they are, no Christian church agrees that their polytheistic, religion is Christian, if you are a Christian then your church says that no, Mormonism is not Christianity.

Pat B just called for Obama to send Federal Marshals to arrest the Minister in Florida to prevent him from burning the Koran, and Bay B left Christianity to become a Mormon and is devoted to electing Mitt Romney President now.

Beck left the Catholic Church to become a practitioner of Mormonism.
