I always knew Chris Rock was an ignorant asshole. The loss of legs is one of the most devastating and expensive consequences of diabetes. I don't know how many patients I have seen who have lost one leg or both, and I'm not talking octogenarians--people in their fifties and sixties, many times.

If this preparation can prevent that outcome it will be worth every penny it cost to develop and much much more.

Yes, the drug companies seem to put a lot of money into drugs that diabetics will take for decades. All those drugs do is reduce the blood glucose values. There is no proof they reduce long-term complications of the disease.
