A 40-year-old Chicopee man died Sunday after suffering a massive heart attack in the stands of Gillette Stadium in Foxborough before the game between the New England Patriots and the Cincinnati Bengals, fire officials said today.
The man was attending the game, the first of the Patriots 2010 season, with his 6-year-old son, and was sitting near the south end zone close to the field, Foxborough Fire Chief Roger Hatfield said.

Good Lord that is so sad. That poor boy. Hail Marys up.
What a horrible tragedy for this family.
Former Patriots GM Upton Bell was with his father NFL Commissioner Bert Bell when he died suddenly at a Philadelphia Eagles game
Sad, but Upton was 21 when his father died. This poor six year old; it’s a nightmare.
“Where is his FR thread?”
You forgot to post it.
Seriously, chill out a bit. It’s good for folks to hear sad stories. It might make them hug their kids a bit closer every night.
This poor six tear old child was alone, 100 miles from home as his Dad lay dying in front of 65,000 people. A nightmare.
You sir, need to gain some perspective.
Prayers for his son and family.
Didn't this same thing happen at a baseball game last year?
Stay off this thread. In the future, if a story bothers you, you have the option to not read it, not comment on it and certainly not harass someone for posting it. Thanks.
It's always been a worst nightmare of mine. Since my Dad died of a heart attack at 40 ( I was eight), I think about family history. When I would take my son out alone like this poor fellow did, it was always in the back of my mind. Now that he's 14, he knows what to do, and could handle himself well. But a poor six year old, 100 miles from home and his Dad lying there in front of 65,000 people; that's beyond terrible.
A sad request for your ping list. Although this is not the usual request for a miraculous healing, this little boy and his family are certainly worthy of our prayers. So too for the repose of the father’s soul.
