UNITED NATIONS (AP) -- They have the scars and missing limbs that make it hard to forgive, but these victims are tougher than most. And now they want to save their attackers.

They are shark attack survivors, a band of nine thrown together in an unlikely and ironic mission to conserve the very creatures that ripped their flesh, tore off their limbs and nearly took their lives....

They want nations to adopt a resolution that would require them to greatly improve how fish are managed, including shark species......

Are these people the equivalent of the Jersey Girls as spokespersons for the victims of 9-11?

Don’t crawl up on the buffet table if you don’t want to get eaten.

Sharks are wild animals. No point in holding a grudge.

I have more of a “kill it and grill it” philosophy when it comes to sharks or swordfish.

One of the easiest and cheapest ways to help conserve shark and any other open water species would be to mandate the use of circle hooks in ALL long line operations.

Back when I was a boy, I used to catch snakes and then catch lizards for the snakes to eat. My brother was outraged at me and my friends feeding the poor innocent lizards to the snakes. Then one day he was holding a lizard and it bit him hard.....he couldn’t feed it to the snakes fast enough.

Now THATS a grudge. LOL!

Scarlet billows start to spread. Fancy gloves, though, wears old MacHeath, babe. So there’s nevah, nevah a trace of red.

Do you know why sharks circle persons before they eat them? Because they taste better after the sh!t has been scared out of them.

Post #8 is the most positive way to turn a grudge into something yummy.

Saving sharks for anything else makes about as much sense as savings wolves or coyotes.
