none of this matters if he didn’t know the Lord. I hope he did. If he didn’t, he is suffering still...

I had a momentary thought that someone left a giant peapod in his room as a joke. May he RIP.

Actor Kevin McCarthy, who played the frantic doctor trying to save his friends and neighbors in the science-fiction movie classic "Invasion of the Body Snatchers,"The remake, starring Donald Sutherland, did a nice tip 'o the derby to Kevin by having him in the opening scene, running about in traffic trying to warn people. I think it was Sutherland who hit and killed him.
He did a good job in the Twilight Zone episode where he was a long-lived (he knew Plato) soldier teaching history at a college.
RIP indeed. He was a good actor and had a long run on and off the stage.

I hope they lock up his body! It would be a real hoot if someone swiped it! Otherwise, RIP. Great actor!

Also famous among Weird Al Yankovic fans as the evil boss of a TV station in Al’s movie UHF.
As Body Snatchers is a favorite film of mine, I treasure Mr. McCarthy’s autograph that I got at the hollywood collectors show a couple years back. As the Twilight Zone episode was titled, Long Live Walter Jameson - and he did.

His character in the INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS had just been divorced in Nevada. In THE MISFITS he had a small part as the about to be divorced husband of Marilyn Monroe in Nevada.
