What a moving tribute.
Never forget.
And tomorrow is 9/11.
How timely and appropriate.
How did you spend the original 9/11? My brother was in the Pentagon that day, and it wasn't until almost midnight that night when he was able to get a phone line out of DC to let somebody in the family know he was ok. I knew soldiers who died in Somalia because of that book. I lost a good friend in Iraq because of that book.
I'm listening to the news for the past few weeks where American citizens are being told they MUST tolerate a monument to that book at the site of the attacks. I'm being told that there's something wrong with Americans who object to it.
I F'in sick of being told I have to tolerate an image of my Savior being submerged in a jar of urine, and an image of the blessed virgin being smeared with dung.
Maybe you feel a need to reflect and be somber. I feel a need to be pissed the F__K off.
Besides...my dog likes bacon.
