A Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper in the Chattanooga district has been fired for inappropriate conduct.
According to the Chattanooga Times Free Press, Tennessee Department of Safety spokesman Mike Browning said 37-year-old Steven Bourque "engaged in conduct unbecoming while on duty in Marion County" last month.
Browning said Bourque had also been untruthful to his supervisor and internal investigators about the inappropriate conduct.

So, uh... what did he do?
Did he arrest an illegal alien?
“Bourque was last in the news in June when he was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle while directing traffic during the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester.”
If it wasn’t for bad luck ... he wouldn’t have any at all.
With reports as incomplete as this, a news organization forfeits the right to call itself a news organization.
You seem to be the Chet99 of bad cops.
In many cases, its the law enforcement agency itself. They are releasing a very small press release which basically says just what is in the article.
Cop fired for misconduct, nothing to see here move along... so the media goes with just what they have.
There is about 4 law suits by newspapers against local and state police agencies over just such claims. And claims the same agencies are blocking access to police reports under various state sunshine laws.
And as you might guess, the police unions are knee deep in blocking access to misconduct reports.
Just shinning some light on what I believe to be a growing problem in this country.
Hey, I enjoy both Chet99 and your posts.
“In many cases, its the law enforcement agency itself. They are releasing a very small press release which basically says just what is in the article.”
The so-called “news” organization was under no obligation to publish the “press release” simply because the law enforcement agency provided one. A real “news” organization would have contacted the law enforcement agency and asked questions and obtained greater depth of information before making their “news story” on such a flimsy press release.
