A TERRITORY girl is lucky to be alive after she was mauled by a savage dog.
Seven-year-old Meg Croton and her brother Connor, 9, had been feeding their family's dog - an eight-year-old mastiff cross - in their Humpty Doo back yard when the girl was attacked by the vicious hound.
"I tripped on a rock and fell, and I think I kicked his leg," Meg recalled the attack. "And then it hurt very badly and he was on top of me and ripped on my head. "But my brother saved my life."

Actually, as with any discussion, what seems to occur is only a snapshot of events. The THREAD is the event.
I am convinced that puppies are for young children and that adult dogs should be given only to adults. That is my entire thesis. Point. Statement. Belief. And the evidence, at least insomuch as this story in concerned, corroborates my position exactly. It does not mean, some other data, would corroborate some other set of circumstances, but, my firmly held belief is that families with small children should never adopt such an animal as was done here in this case. Never. And this does not even go into the problems of, OK, we did it, now, do we let our 7 year old play with it? Unsupervised?
My posts are sound. Reasonable. The over reactions of a half dozen, very emotionally disturbed folks, now, that was unexpected and “loony”.

I do have to say, people get very angry on these dog threads, and there were some very bizarre moments today. I have pretty much decided I’m going to stay out of them from now on.
As you wish. I sure had NO clue what I was getting into when I made one little post, as I do, on dozens of threads.... I had no idea how deep this rabbit hole would get.
They don’t accomplish anything and in fact, I think probably that some of the people are not convincing lurkers of the things they think they are.

Yeah... I've seen that... Most unusual... frankly, I don't think I will have too much trouble with "recall"... and I doubt, "I" will be forgotten. So, perhaps.... the entire paradigm is about to shift? Here's hoping.
