I have always considered him an egomaniac who does the telethon more for his own aggrandizement than for the kids. Dean Martin made him a star but soon Lewis began to believe it was the other way around. They split and what is Lewis today? A zero with a once a year pity-party gig. (I am talking about Lewis and intend no reflection on those with MD.)
