Dr Dave Football Prognosticator With His Weekly Picks
(Excerpt) Read more at angelfire.com ...
Ah.. not much on these picks.
Is Dr. Dave an octopus? If not, he has no credibility in pimping his blog.
A few weeks ago, things were looking more improved in Seattle, but the offensive line issues have increased, O-line guru coach Alex Gibbs is “retiring due to health reasons”, and Pete Carroll just axe’d a ton of players this past week and brought in others. I suspect the development of Gibbs zone blocking scheme wasn’t happening as they had planned.
The Seahawks always play SF tough at Qwest. I think the score could be closer, but this could also end up being a blowout considering the Oline problems.
Call me crazy, but I think the Rams could end up upseting the Cards.
He got the Skins game right, but with the wrong score. Look for something like Skins 24, Cowboys 12. The Cowboys will be real good a kicking field goals this year. Not much else though. The question I have is will both Portis and Holmes gain 100 yards each in this game? The big question is will Fat Albert play, and if so will he play hard?
The upset of the week will be the Eagles over Green Bay. Also, there is no way that Dallas will lose to a McNabb led Redskin team.
How do you figure?
Another Upset (and possible candidate for most unwatchable game of season) Lions 24 Bears 17
Watch the Lions take advantage of Lovie Smith’s patented Cover Who? defense.
“The upset of the week will be the Eagles over Green Bay. Also, there is no way that Dallas will lose to a McNabb led Redskin team.”
I think you have it backward. There is no way a rookie named Colb? can beat Green Bay. I will be amazed if he is able to walk off the field at the end of the game. Philly’s defense (the thing that made them great) is gone. Philly still can’t run the ball at will and requires a dozen plus hitch passes to equate to what a basic running back can do in one half of a football game.
As for Dallas - they have no o-line. Which means they won’t be able to run. So you have the Tony Romo show and a field goal kicker. Look for Romo to do his immitation of a ragdoll. The Cowboys may be able to do the impossible and make Fat Albert look good.
I am NOT forgetting how these people treated Rush.
Washington has little in the wide-receiver area for McNabb to throw to and their offensive line is shakey. Dallas can put pressure on McNabb all day just like they did last year in Philly. Any way, This is a great time of year. Football is finally starting, the Phillies are only 1/2 game back now and hocky starts in another couple weeks. At last, something to take my mind off Obama and the Democrats...
