Do housing projects have residential advisors? I was thinking college dorms also.

I don’t rightly know but does the pay actually exceed a tuition waiver? I don’t think it does.

Possibly they mean the person in charge of the dormitory (not a student). That is a paying position at many schools...nonexistent at others...

There aren’t too many openings, I’m sure.

Who cares? Blacks should be becoming an irrelevant minority in this country. Many more Hispanics, many more Asians, etc. All with far less bitching and moaning. Their time has come and gone. Billions in handouts and so little to show for it. Move on.

I agree.. soon Mexicans will be the dominate political force.. poor Asians are excluded from ANY minority benefit..they actually have to work for it, because they have proved they can

Neil deGrasse Tyson, Ph.D., is a black astrophysicist whom I've seen more than once on TV--very sharp and very enthusiastic about science, a bit like Carl Sagan (in fact Sagan tried to recruit him to come study at Cornell but he chose Harvard instead). He was on C-SPAN last Friday evening--he is director of the Hayden Planetarium in NYC.

I don't know if astrophysics comes under "miscellaneous physical sciences" or has its own category. Dr. Tyson is obviously someone who did not give into peer pressure when he was a kid.

I am an artist. Attended university in the 1960s. I had 2 black classmates. Later, on the wholesale craft show circuit, I was aware of 1 professional black craftsperson out of hundreds of exhibitors. Today, I also know one.

Your 3 students out of 30 equals 10%, so it is proportionate.

I did see more black craftspeople at retail shows in Florida and Hawaii than anywhere else.

Professional art and crafts demands some sort of support such as another job, private income, supporting spouse or parent. So, perhaps it would understandably self-select towards whites. Whites are also the majority of the population. The craftsperson I recall from professional wholesale trade shows was actually a husband/wife team showing clothing. The woman I know right now makes American Indian-style items and her husband supports her.

Interesting that performing arts and music weren’t listed. I think blacks dominate, as they do in sports.

That's why they invented meters!

Yep, even if the color code is correct the resistor value may not be what is coded on it. High heat and excess current can change resistor values. However the highest component failure is still electrolytic capacitors. Dialectric breakdown. Tantalum capacitors not so.

With all the hi-tech stuff, I still prefer my Simpson 260 for most things.

That's an “occupation?””

Sure.

I'll give you an example:

GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!

See, I advised you as to where you live (not here).

I found when trouble shooting, it’s best to assume nothing. Trust, but verify. Even the meter over its ranges.

I guess they don't consider rap music an art.
