Hope I don't get banned but I am sick and tired of free republic acting like nothing is going on!! Either we are under attack or the equipment is inadequate, I hate that there are no posts about the curent issue.

What is going on with the FR Yahoo group? Can you please provide a link? I have joined a Yahoo group called Free Republic, but Jim did not post on it today and there was no activity during the system outages. I think I have connected with the wrong one.

Most of the posts are from “Rich Martin”.

I think you should should contact Eric Holder and ask that he get to the bottom of this ASAP. This is a threat to national security, I tell you!

The Yahoo Group is difficult to maneuver. Jellybean has a site and the posters repost messages by Jim from Yahoo.

The FreeRepublic Yahoo Group HAS NO CONNECTION TO FREE REPUBLIC. The alternate FR group on Yahoo is freerepublic2.

“if you join the yahoo group, you’ll know.”

I thought the Yahoo group had disbanded due to being spammed to death?

I checked yesterday and didnt see any updates about FR in my yahoo inbox.

Alright already yet . . .

This noise about “Christian Abduction” of FR is getting to be more than a little disturbing.

1. There wouldn’t be a Republic of the US of A anything close to what we know without Christianity.

2. Jim’s Gracious support of prayer threads will likely go down in the history of the multiverse as greatly more lasting and of greatly more eternal import than even the other great patriotic benefits of FR and all the other benefits of FR.

3. Just who do you think comprises . . . what . . . 95% . . . at least 90% of AMERICAN CONSERVATIVES??? So, you think that whining about and trashing 90+% of FR makes sense? Sounds almost like liberal troll logic, to me.

4. Christianity for any of us close-to-authentic-Christians is NOT some idle, occasionally-bother-with hobby.

5. Christianity pervades all of our lives. It particularly saturates our values, our concerns, our construction on reality and particularly our construction on political realities in a world of rapidly encroaching, CONSUMING GLOBALISM/SOCIALISM/COMMUNISM. We cannot discuss political, social and economic issues meaningfully without including significant chunks of our Christianity. It’s just not reality based, just not Christianity and just not CONSERVATISM. It also wouldn’t be FR as we have known it and come to help create it.

6. Christians are particularly targeted for extermination by said globalism—along with the US Constitution and life as we know it. DO YOU THINK THAT’S OF NO CONSEQUENCE?

7. Seriously committed Christian FREEPERS are the most motivated, politically active, diligent, prayerful, contributing, creative problem solvers etc. that exist on FR. Trash us at your own risk.

8. The Religion Moderator not that long ago has exhorted folks whining like you to reset your preferences for NEWS/ACTIVISM every time you log on if you wish to avoid RELIGION FORUM threads. The default is ALL FORUM. Someone recently said FR doesn’t operate that way any more. I don’t know what the truth is about that.

9. It doesn’t matter. Page Down and Scroll buttons work on most computers/keyboards. If you aren’t patient enough to deal with the preferences of 90+% of FR’s most energetic, committed and contributive constituents, then maybe this place is just TOOOOO CHRISTIAN for you to bother with.

10. I’d suggest trying to find a conservative group of 1.3 million atheists and agnostics but I don’t think that would be anything but a vain futile exercise.

11. As long as the globalists allow Christians to exist and FR to exist, we will be here. And you and everyone else had best be jolly well EXTREMELY THANKFUL FOR THAT.

12. Yes, religion is a passionate thing that most committed Christians care supremely about and are quite quick to engage in fiercely energetic and emotional haggling over. What else is new. Wars have been fought over such. There we just fray one another’s sensibilities about our differing Biblical and historical perspectives on walking with God and one another. We’d all—at least almost all—Don O can speak for himself—we’d all still rush to stand shoulder to shoulder in the trenches against the globalists and other supremely murderously destructive idiots from hell in a flash. And be honored and glad to do it.

AND ANY FREEPER WITH A BRAIN ABOVE THAT OF A SLUG HAD BEST BE JOLLY WELL THANKFUL FOR THAT FACT.
