"The Big Broadcast is a Sunday night tradition for families throughout the WAMU listening area. Each week, Big Broadcast host Ed Walker offers listeners priceless recordings of popular radio programs from the '30s, '40s and '50s. Priceless, especially, for a man whose first sentence as a child was, 'Turn the radio on.' "

Evening, Vision.

And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

Wow. You got to go to it? How was traffic once you got inside 495?

Light, although we took the GW parkway in. The only issue was parking, for some reason almost all garages were closed. But we got to the Memorial at 10am. Actually heard there were many issues with Metro being overwhelmed.

I haven't done the parkway in at least thirteen or fourteen years, but you got lucky if it wasn't heavy for that rally. It never took much for it to get backed up, especially around the Spout Run and 123 exits during rush hour. I can believe the Metro was clogged, though. And you haven't lived until you've ridden the Orange Line into Metro Center on a Saturday night. LOL Talk about bats escaping the belfry.

Not a great J Dollar -but that Russ Hodges call on the Bobby Thompson home run made up for it! One of the all time great sports calls.

The Glenn Beck program was awesome, although my back tightened up with all the standing. Where were you? As you faced the Lincoln Memorial we were on the left side near the second jumbotron ... most importantly, in the shade of the trees. Afterwards we stumbled on Michele Bachmann’s Tea Party on the other side of the Washington Monument.

Hi. We were on the right side. Initially about even with the stage and got to see Beck and Palin at a few hundred yards, but the people were packed like sardines and that morning sun was strong. After 45 minutes and covered in sweat we retreated about half back down the reflecting pool to one of the screens. In the shade it was nice.
Great event, Beck's speech was iconic.
