I’ve seen 2 people who are very committed to finding the truth be branded as an Obot and booted from contributing. It’s the “divide and conquer” thing. It’s hard when we know that there are people who are paid to infiltrate the patriotic camp. Hard to know who to trust. Keeps us disjointed and less effective. I don’t know how we overcome that.
Butter you’re a patriot.
The problem arises when they arrive at different conclusions than those that some of the more angry and emotional here have attached themselves to.
I'm rather skeptical that there are any paid agents provocateurs here. There are indeed some who show up just to muddy things up, but I would be far more inclined to believe that they do it because they think it's fun to jerk people around (I'm looking at you Polarik!).
I'd argue that the way we overcome these things is to discuss them rationally and without resorting to name calling or emotional reactions when confronted with differing opinions or viewpoints.
Check out the posting history of the folks who tend to resort to name-calling or other juvenile behaviors. You'll likely find that this is a pattern for them regardless of the topic. I've generally found that you can safely ignore these folks without missing anything important.
