I was outside mowing my lawn this morning. As I shut the mower off and was putting it away, I heard a jet overhead. Since we're fairly close to Joint Base Lewis-McChord, it's usually nothing spectacular. I just happened to look up. It was not one of the usual C-17's that come over head.
It was a 747, headed to the north-east....and you could just make out a very distinctive paint job.
I said to my youngest son, "Look...it's Air Force One!". I then did what I felt was necessary for the situation.
I stuck out my tongue and gave Obama a big juicy raspberry.
It meant absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things, but that is probably as close to this President as I will ever get, and it was the only form of protest I could think of at the time.
He's now in Seattle, stumping for the Mom-In-Tennis-Shoes, Patty Murray. In a few hours, he'll be gone.
On a side note, I've seen AF1 fly overhead three times. The first was when President Carter visited Spokane after Mt. St. Helens erupted. The second was when President George W. Bush visited Seattle back a few years ago. When HE flew over, I felt a sense of pride in our country. And this time...I felt the need to stuck my tongue out at the President.
*sigh*
Secret Service will be paying you a visti shortly. No one mocks the One!
And not only a “visti” but a visit too! (stoopid keyboard)
Hopefully.
Aren’t there several planes with that paint job? Not that I don’t appreciate the sentiment.
That’ll fix Obama’s wagon, fer sure!
I would fart in his general direction.
Since you had your younest son with you, it is better that you gave the “raspberry” rather than the well deserved universal signal indicating “Number One”.
Saw the three Marine white tops often enroute from JFK to downtown Manhattan during Clinton’s admin. Never failed to throw him the bird.....usually from atop the wheelhouse of a fishing boat in Jamaica Bay.
outstanding.
Only sunburn and skeeters keeps me from mooning him as he passes over Idaho on his way back.
Every little bit helps!

He may not hear a raspberry over engine noise, but he might be able to make out a bird. I’m near Norfolk Va airport, and have seen AF1 come in when “W” came to town. I waved. But when O came to town he landed elsewhere, so I was unable to display my disdain for him.
I had the privilege of seeing George W drive by in his motorcade. He was reading. I had my hand over my heart. It was an emotional moment for me, but that is not unusual.
I was also thinking about the next state of the union address and gleefully imagined that when the liar began his speech, the conservatives would just stand, turn their backs to him, and stay that way through the speech. No emotion, no reactions, just disdain. Especially after the way he was so rude to the SC Justices.
I applaud your rasberry of AF1, and I second the motion!
Only time I saw AF One (and it wasn’t official during this particular flight) was when it left Palm Springs with President Ford’s casket.....it was about 10,000 feet overhead.
