I have to admit I see her point. She says she ordered a “plain bagel.” That’s plain English. Why should she have to answer the question of does that mean you want cheese or butter on it? Plain means plain. Anyone who can speak English would understand.
I suspect that Starbucks had several illegals working there who had no idea what she was talking about. If they would hire English speakers, problems like this wouldn’t come up. Maybe that’s the point she was trying to make.
Actually, she didn’t order a plain bagel. She ordered a multigrain bagel, and the waiter/waitress asked if she wanted butter or cheese, or neither.
That’s when she yelled:
“I want my multigrain bagel!” Rosenthal said.
She admits that this wasn’t the first time she has done something like this, and a witness claimed she called the server an a—hole.
She wasn’t defending proper English, and she wasn’t standing up for her rights. She was being an immature piece of work.
The only fast food places where I see the illegal amigos are in Mickey-Ds in the SW and Calipornia, and I don't like Mickey-Ds anyway.
