I usually see 3 or 4 vehicles per week being searched when I go to work. They use dogs also and look underneath the vehicle.

The thing they really seem to have a hard-on about here is your vehicle insurance! How’s that for security?

Actually, the insurance thing, not just for vehicles, either, has been big for a long time.

What other kind of insurance would they be concerned about? Contractor performance and liability bond or something? Vehicle liability is the only kind they’ve ever asked me for.

I assume you have a cite for this?

I have never been able to find one thing that shows concealed carry was an accepted norm in those times. Sure, Jefferson said "Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks." Obviously they intended for people to be able to carry, but not necessarily concealed. Those concealed carry exemptions and the allowance for regulation exist in many state constitutions.

Strangely, what's in the state constitution seems to have no bearing on that state's laws concerning concealed carry, or gun law in general.

Conversly, there is nothing saying they were against it either.

However, any laws against either method of carry are “infringements”. Period.

In OH, the state text actually calls it a “privelege”!
