Jennifer Aniston Fires Back at Bill O'Reilly

Jennifer Aniston is firing back at Fox News anchor Bill O'Reilly, after he responded to comments she made about single mothers by calling the actress comments "destructive to our society."

"Of course, the ideal scenario for parenting is obviously two parents of a mature age. Parenting is one of the hardest jobs on earth," Aniston told People magazine. "And, of course, many women dream of finding Prince Charming (with fatherly instincts), but for those who've not yet found their Bill O'Reilly, I'm just glad science has provided a few other options."

While promoting her new film "The Switch," in which she plays a women who decides to get pregnant using a sperm donor, Aniston told reporters that "times have changed" and women no longer have to wait for a man to have a baby.

"Women are realizing it more and more knowing that they don't have to settle with a man just to have that child," she said. "Love is love and family is what is around you and who is in your immediate sphere."

On "The O'Reilly Factor" last week, the host accused the actress of "diminishing the role of the dad" and called her comments "destructive to our society."

"She's throwing a message out to 12-year-olds and 13-year-olds that hey, you don't need a guy, you don't need a dad," O'Reilly said.

"Aniston can hire a battery of people to help her, but she cannot hire a dad," he continued. "And dads bring a psychology to children that is, in this society, under-emphasized. I think that men get hosed all day long in the parental arena...any man who leaves their children is not a man. Let's make that perfectly clear. But the fathers who do try hard are under-appreciated and diminished by people like Jennifer Aniston

Your post 26, I couldn’t agree more. On ALL points.

Another Hollywoodenhead checks in.

Thank you, science for providing alternatives to fatherhood. And, of course, when the going gets tricky, and the kids prove to be a challenge, what then, Jen? Oh yeah, turn to science.

It’s testament to the actor’s lack of core that she - and so many others of her ilk -feel they have to live the part they portray on film. It’s no wonder they fail so miserably whenever they’re off script.

I guess I just don’t follow Hollywood as closely as they want me to. Didn’t know about the film. Now that I know, I don’t care. My Hollywood apathy card expired due to total lack of interest.

Miss Aniston’s comments may not even reflect her own personal viewpoint.

Candice Bergan argued the point with Dan Quayle (Republican) but later conceded that he was right.

Liberals lie.

” ... the “girl next door” look tends to age better ...”

That’s the physical attraction that most men instinctively have towards JA. But I suspect she defines the term “high maintenance.”

"What Jen doesn’t get is that HAVING a child is not the same as RAISING a child."

Hey that's not her fault, she just scares the men away before she get's a chance to get knocked up. Brad Pit stayed around long enough but somehow he managed to escape without having any kids with her. It's not like he doesn't like kids he has about 20 of them now!

Men see the forest, women see the trees. Both women are actresses, so what we see is only skin deep anyway.

Jennifer has never been much more than a one night stand. Maybe if she could keep a guy interested in her, she’d have more credibility.

Perzactly! Plus, how many times have we heard this BS that having a child is punishment for young girls, that it is inconvenient at the time of the young unwed mother or of HER career (shoulda conveniently kept her legs together), that birthing the child is just too emotionally traumatic, yet murdering it is just a walk in the park...

And now they want to pull this BS about how good men are just hard to find and a woman shouldn’t be inconveniently encumbered with one so the best thing to do is deprive the child of the opportunity to have a loving father...

But it just seems to me, that maybe good women are getting rarer by the minute, especially in Bawdywood among the brainless hoochie coochie clones.

Ang is only 35 but she sure don’t look it. She’s got a lot of “old lady face”, very sunken cheeks, deep lines. Aniston is 6 years older but probably looks 5 years younger.

She’s a Hollywood person, most folks who seek fame, especially by pretending to be somebody else, tend to be high maintenance. It’s not really a profession that draws the sane.

Instead of realizing that "Prince Charming" only exists in fairy tales. Life is not a romance novel. Too few women seem to realize this.

No doubt. I always figured Brad Pitt had very good reasons for ditching her. As a friend in college once said, “No matter how hot she is, someone, somewhere is tired of putting up with her $h!+.”

Watch your back Jen, Ted Baxter has a loofah and he is not afraid to use it.
