To: Pessimist

I carry a Sig P220 which is a large frame .45 ACP.

To ‘conceal’ this, it means wearing the right clothing.

I also carry one extra mag as well. That’s easily concealed. That makes 15 rounds available.

I like the .45 ACP with personal defense rounds because it WILL stop a threat in a ‘combat accuracy’ situation. The 9mm requires better placement. The .380 requires you hit them with the weapon after you expend all your rounds. ;-p

I’ve tried a few Sigs, but they seem too light for me. All my weapons so far are heavy metal.

ER stats have contradicted this. Yes, my favorite Carry piece is a Colt CC MKIV in stainless. But in Summer, it's the Sig 232 w/ Hydrashocks. I just cannot hide the Colt well, and it gets tiring after the major part of a day.

The jokes about "File the site off so after you shoot the perp, and he gets mad and stuffs the gun up you, it won't hurt as much" are really for the .25 and .32.
