My advice stands on a platform for the .223. The ONLY reason I'd go with the AK is for the 7.62x39 ammo and that famed Ak reliability. But again, the ammo is too easily choked off.

That was a superb post, ExSoldier, containing much useful information

You touch on the fact that ammo supply can be choked off. Always a good idea to stockpile a few rounds for a rainy day.

Ironically, the guns I have taken to the range over the past year have been Warsw Pact, mainly because I could still find cheap ammo to feed them, while .45ACP and 7.62 x 51 were scarce as hen’s teeth.
