They’re called PASS device, Personal Alert Safety System. If a firefighter stops moving for a set period of time (usually 15-30 seconds), they start beeping - loud, continuous beeping. It keeps beeping until the battery dies, or it’s turned off.
It’s to help locate a downed firefighter in a building full of smoke, flames. Hard to do under unnumbered tons of rubble, unfortunately.
The 9th anniversary is coming up - and it’s one I’ll always remember, if only because I got married on 7 July 2001. Sort of like getting married around Halloween 1941.

It is because of these young men and women that we cannot this travesty be built! One of the worse things is that while the Trade Centers are being bogged down in red tape, The Idiot Bloomberg wants this piece of crap to be built right away.

I understand the muslim. Ignorant men who produce little and use their cult religion to dominate others and their women.
But Jews tend to be educated. Very entrepreneurial, with businesses they can take with them if they need to flee – diamond merchants, doctors, etc. I cannot understand why a Jew supports big government democrats. Big government has never been good to the Jews. Rome, Hitler, Soviet Union.
