The Daily Show - a Lobby Group for the Ground Zero Mosque
FR Vanity ^ | today | 240B

Posted on 08/11/2010 8:26:25 AM PDT by 240B

For the last week or so, the Daily Show with Jon Stewart has presented relentless coverage of the Ground Zero Mosque issue. All of the coverage was in favor of the Mosque. Comedy Central are even pleadingly presenting the Muslim generated straw-man arguments. CC insists that it is not a mosque, it is a 'cultural center' (yeah right) and Muslims are good honest people and only Al Quiada is bad.

We know that the Left uses, so called, 'comedy', to say what they really believe and to attack people personally in the most vulgar way possible. The Daily Show is presenting, using the cover of 'comedy', commentaries and skits which portray anyone who has an opinion against the location the Victory Mosque as an ignorant, bigoted, redneck. This is an interesting position coming from Comedy Central considering more than half the people of New York oppose the location of the mosque and considering that there is no more bigoted culture on Earth than the Muslims. Furthermore, Muslims are open and proud of their bigotry, it is not someting they keep secret. I do not normally think of New Yorkers as ignorant rednecks but apparently if you oppose the location of the mosque, you too are one.

I rarely watch the Daily Show except when flipping through it on my way to something else. However, lately I have persevered and watched the show(difficult as it was). It was like watching a half hour documentary produced by the Muslim version of the ADL. There was no real comedy at all. It was a half hour of, essentially anti-white, anti traditional America, commercials in favor of Muslims and the mosque at ground zero and they are doing show after show after show like this.

The shows delegitimizes dissent. They purport, ostensibly through comedy, that there is no, none whatsoever, absolutely no legitimate rational reason to oppose the location mosque except that you are a xenophobic, racist, bigot. I am sure this will be news to the firefighters, policemen, volunteers, airline passengers, and office workers who died in the Muslim terrorist sneak attack, as well as their families.

I do not write this as a condemnation. The Daily Show, of course, can do whatever they want. I write more out of confusion and curiosity. What is their obsession with issue based on? They have, basically, canceled or postponed the real Daily Show and replaced it with these almost Muslim PAC produced commercials for Muslims and the Ground Zero Mosque. Why? I don't get it.

The sheer passion with which they cheer this mosque is disconcerting. I mean, you can be pro any issue, but these guys are acting like fanatic, frantic, cheerleaders. They are acting like they have some kind of huge stake in the outcome. I don't get it.

Stewart is just trying to set another taboo in front of the populace, he is a bullying sociopath with a deep anti-pathy for those not of his circle.

Jon Leibowitz is the typical self-hating Jew. Of course he is going to aggressively lobby for the 9/11 victory mosque.

Mosques are safe houses for terrorists ...Simple. I wonder if this ass-clown, John Stewart will attend the funerals of Americans killed by terrorists to opologize to the families?....

Some people simply refuse to acknowledge reality. In his mind, Michael Bloomberg still probably believes that the attempted Times Square bomber was a “white male” who didn’t like Obamacare passing, rather than an Islamic extremist. Jon Stewart denies the hard facts about the funding of the mosque, and pushes this propaganda.

The fact that anyone- Christian, Jewish, Muslim, etc. can be killed by an Islamic terrorist attack never enters their minds. It is their believe that they- and they alone- can alter history and change minds for the better through their “unique” abilities by appeasing the real enemy (although they have no difficulties demonizing the fictional boogeymen they have created in their own minds, and biting hands that feed).

It is a form of megalomania- and at some point in time, many will wind up suffering because of it.

This is a center for tolerance. It’s imam is so tolerant he even refuses to condemn the use of terrorism.

Maybe they got tired of sucking off Obama onscreen 5 days a week and needed something new.

The huge stake in the outcome is they are in the pocket of the ruling elite who favor the building of the mosque and, therefore, they have to take and uphold the party line. This is a test of sorts between the power of the elites to control the population and the will of the people. The test is going on in campuses across America, in Arizona, ground zero and elsewhere. Comedy Central have their marching orders and that is not a laughing matter.

Very well said and spot on. It is a battle between the ruling class and the people, as is AZ, prop 8, and healthcare.

It is clear that we are witnessing are soft coups d’etat across America on many levels.

We see over and over so many officials across America saying, Screw the people! Screw the Law! I do whatever I want to.

I agree and for me the solution in great part is to fumigate the university. America will die from a million leftist bed bug bites. They've even gotten into the Lincoln bedroom. Your vanity post was well written and spot on too.

I admit I don't watch commie central much, but this week I happened to catch the first segment of the daily show one day. They did a pretty good job skewering Fox News.

At 2 minutes in they get into the evil "Kingdom Foundation" that we are all supposed to worry about. Clip here

Upshot: the sinister guy funding madrasses also owns the biggest share of Fox after the Murdoch family. Owning a lot of the parent company of Fox News isn't the same as funding a mosque, of course, but Stewart makes hay with it anyway, and it's pretty funny.

There is a zero chance that I will ever follow a link sponsored by anyone calling themselves Dick Holmes.

I mean,really...come on, you have to be more ‘creative’ (if you can call it that)

What on earth is wrong with my name? I was always proud of it. My biggest heroes as a kid were Dick Tracy and Sherlock Holmes!

You know I respect you. I have no reason to insult you.

Man, I do not even want to be the one who tells you.

I am not a porn guy. But even I know. Your name is the most famous porn guy that ever existed. Again, I have no involvement with porn.

It is just basic knowledge. I apologize to tell you this. The name, your name, Dick(Richard?) Holmes, I may as well call myself Buck. Buck Naked

I am only posting this with the belief that you really do not know. If you do. Then I am a fool.
