Aren’t most Naval aviators gay?

There are a bunch of us USMC, knuckle dragging, Naval Aviator types out here who would take SERIOUS issue with anyone trying to slap that designation on us.
I remember a cartoon drawn on a stall bulkhead in the head at Pensacola’s Whiting Field. It was labeled “Close Air Support” and the first pane showed a USAF F-4 dropping a bomb on a VC hootch from 1500’ AGL. Second pane had a NAVY F-4 dropping his ordnance from about 200’ AGL. The final pane showed the USMC F-4 flying THROUGH the VC hootch.
Having been in the mud very close to “close air support” in ‘Nam, I had to laugh at the accuracy of that cartoon.
HOWEVER, I will always be very grateful for the USAF close air support we received in Vietnam. This old Jarhead grunt and later rotorhead salutes all of you Air Force flyboys out there!
