I just think that getting a DUI for being on a lawnmower, bicycle or other slow moving device is kind of over the top.
If you must ticket for that, I realize it’s still a hazard, it should be some lesser violation. Reckless operation perhaps?
Anyone who wants to tell me that the potential for damage and destruction by a drunk driver on a lawnmower is the same for that of a drunk driver in an automobile, I’m listening. I could use the entertainment.
I think you are right but most state laws prohibit operation of any motor vehicle.
crazy but it is how the law is written.
Would you feel that way if you had to swerve to avoid him, and possibly hit somebody else, or totaled your car, in the process?
You make it too easy. He is driving his mower drunk along the roadway. All he has to do as a drunk is to pull onto the roadway and have cars traveling much faster wreck avoiding him.
Why did I even need to point out such an obvious danger? It is common sense which apparently isn't common anymore.
Anyone who wants to tell me that the potential for damage.......
Depends on whether blades were engaged. Could end up with wavy cut lines /s
