Did the police officer want to put her name in the sex offender data registry?
People need to take a deep breath sometime and decide if something is really all that serious after all.
To: llevrok
Id have to see a pic of her in the tee shirt.

Oh good, another cop bashing thread. Will we ever get to hear the other side of the story??

parks have every right to have their own dress codes and hopefully they will make it where kids cannot be brought to nudist parks and stuff.

Wearing a wet t-shirt is a privelige, not a right.

"Will we ever get to hear the other side of the story??" Read the article...
"The city of Tavares acknowledges receiving a notice of intent from Lovett's attorney but declined to comment on the case."

Guilty of what?
Looks do not convict and it sounds like LEO’s might have over-reacted.

A police report obtained by WFTV indicates Lovett did not give her name fast enough. As a result, she was taken into custody on suspicion of obstructing justice and resisting arrest. Do what?
Y'know, it's stuff like this that makes middle class average Joes like me despise the cops.

What if she were Black or Hispanic? Would the cop have the cajones to bust arrest her

Oh good, another cop bashing thread. Will we ever get to hear the other side of the story?? Oh, good, another cop ass kisser. Read the article it gives both sides of the story. The cop was being an a**hole as many cops do when their little power ploys over citizens seem to be thwarted, such as not providing ID, when you don't have to unless you have broken a law, such as speeding. Being stopped in a car, when you MUST have your drivers license at all times, is much different than being stopped on the street for no reason except some cop wants to throw his weight around. Never been there? Lucky you.

Probably not, considering the PC effect.
I pray for the day that social norms become such that LEO’s can again enjoy a less up-tight environment. They are so wrapped up in the legal crap for their occupation that they have no time to use good judgement. They are always afraid of having the boom lowered on them if they don’t consider all the legal requirements.
