The Human Voice is a Powerful Force - And Children are The Arrows in the Quiver

There was a radio talk show by Dr. Steuart McBirnie who broadcast on hundreds of AM radio stations from the 1960s until into the 1980s, “The Voice of Americanism”. This was long before Rush or Levin, Savage or others – there is no denying that through the power of radio, and now the internet, the “silent majority” came to have a voice. Dr. McBirnie was an author of religious commentary and history, but to me he was and always will be that voice on the radio bringing the message of Anti-Communism.

I remember avidly tuning into his programs, dialing in with a hand-held Japanese transistor radio – every word was full of eventful news items and historical perspective. His communication skills were above and beyond. He brought me, and so many, the message of Anti-Communism which we instinctively knew but had no voice – but through him, it was like a force to hear, it gave us the freedom in consciousness to speak out, to defend, to fight.

It was the likes of Mr. McBirnie, in which came the foundations of what we today call the conscious willing to not be afraid to speak the truth and to speak of what we felt, as one way to explain it – Americanism. It was the start of so many heroes we now admire, those voices on air waves – “Right Wing Talk Radio”.

You probably have no idea of the Doctor. It was before you time. But it was the likes of this man who set the stage, who established the medium, who represented the genre and the image and the voice of those who came later. I remember – there was something he once alluded to. It was one idea about defeating the Ugly Souls of Socialism – of one idea that we pretty much have forgotten but which perhaps has been requisitioned by some of our enemies of liberty. The basic idea came from religion. I think what needs to be done is this. That good Americans need to now consciously plan to have large families, many children.

I know this sounds strange. For some of us, it may be too late – but for those still young, please consider. Children are like arrows in the quiver.

As the words of prophets say, “Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the sons of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.”

The most powerful force in the world is the human voice. It is the most powerful weapon. It is the most powerful shelter. It is the most powerful concord. It can accent the most loudest toll. It can heighten the most still of silence. It is the oldest of us, and it is the youngest. It is the first to come when guests arrive, and the last to leave when they depart. It heralds the next waking, and it invokes the next adventure to the farthest shore. It is the voice of a Pope standing in a square 1,000 years ago telling young men to go to the crusade off some far away land. It is the voice of man in 2010 After Death in a little room speaking into a microphone over airwaves that then come out from small boxes and into the consciousness of millions. It is a leader of a nation, and it is a poor man at a chance moment which is given to everyone even for a second to speak to the entire world. It is the most powerful religion. The written word is only to record what is said in so many ways. It will come for you sooner or later. It is history in motion. It is your opportunity.

What we now need is many voices.

What is truly funny is the reaction of liberals/leftists to this notion. They are outraged!

It is beyond me why they should care whether other people choose to have numerous progeny, but they sure do.
