This may be the only column ever written by Tom Shales that I agree with. In fact, I'm stunned that he mentioned how Amanpour put the kibosh to the "In Memoriam" segment, because I thought the exact same thing when I watched the show yesterday.

So Clinton’s war whore has got another paying gig. Great, another show I don’t watch now and won’t in the future.

Should have given that job to John Stossel (before he left for FOX Business) or Jake Tapper.

Katie Couric times 2. The Perky One bit the dust. Iampoor is a pro terrorist b****. I used to DVR This Week...NO MORE. Bring back Tapper and I'll watch. Otherwise, NO WAY. I suspect that I'm not alone.

Somehow, that the War Slut would do that to “In Memoriam” totally doesn’t surprise me.

When Brinkley finally let loose with his honestly-held opinion, what he thought of Clinton, I was on my feet applauding my television.
Sometimes when the great ones pass, we ought to let go of their programs as well. It was stupid for ABC to attempt to carry on with "This Week", especially installing the non-objective Step-on-all-of-us, he's in the chair he fits now. I have not tuned in since the death of David Brinkley ... and have missed nothing whatever.

"...Did she mean to suggest that our mourning extend to members of the Taliban?..."
Knowing that lady and her love of muslim/arab terrorists, Yes.

And he used “panoply” in an unusual and a correct way. Good column.

Why is drudge so popular? Because he created a way for people to judge for themselves what the story is and what they think. Network news is dead. People are not naive idiots that listened to some old sage like cronkite to tell them what they think. Give us the raw video, tweet, or post and we will surmise for ourselves what it means and why its important. If those people out there can not do that by now they never will.

I remember the day the Taliban marched triumphantly into Kabul. Christiane Amanpour was by the side of the road, with a CNN camera crew, grinning from ear to ear and commenting what a great day it was.
No network that values its news division would hire someone born in Iran, educated in exclusive (left-wing) English boarding schools and married to a member of the Clinton administration. That's why she's so perfect for ABC.
