In the isolated town of Stoneville, N.L., population less than 500, residents are starting to wonder what to do about an eight-year-old boy whose behaviour has long concerned them, but has now grown violent.
First, it was a dog bludgeoned to death with a barbecue utensil in June. And now it's a dozen ducks, hens and chicks kept in a backyard as pets, found beaten with gardening tools on Tuesday.
The boy, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has admitted to both attacks, police say, although he is too young to be charged with a criminal offence. It is believed that the boy used gardening tools he found in the shed of Cory Hodder to kill the birds. Some were so badly abused they had to be euthanized.
"I expected something to happen and I expect more," said resident Marlene Gillingham. "I wish there was something that somebody could do. There should be some kind of a home for kids like this. So they could learn, and get this out of their blood. It's just in him."
Ms. Gillingham has two children herself, aged 5 and 7. She said she worries for their safety as they go to school with the boy.

Just had a case here of a serial killer that murderd at least three Panamanians and three American citizens. Police said he may have killed as many as forty people in the states and three in Cost Rica. His wife may have been involved too and was captured in Costa Rica.. He had many passports and at5 first it was thought he was from Holland but may be a US citizen. Been waiting to hear more about them.
Lot of these people start out by torturing and lilling animals sounds like they may have got this kid beore he started killing the local children.
your mother sews sox that smell Karas....
I know the Canadians tell the same kinds of jokes about folks in Newfoundland that we tell about hillbillies in Appalachia, but this is ridiculous! Put the kid on a porch, hand him a banjo, and call up Hollywood!
ah.....eugenics.
Yeah, that sounds like something and American woman would say.
Be sure to screen all the shows on TV that are passed off as *kid shows*. They are chock full of violent cartoon characters - many animals and strange hybridized creatures.
Somewhere this kid got the impression it was acceptable to torture and kill animals.
He may have watched all those hunting shows along with his uncle-daddy.
Society in regression.
libtards will say he needs to be reeducated and his environment needs to be changed.
Voldemort?
Sounds like the kid could use the Code of Harry (Morgan).
There is a major difference between “social” problems and inherent, organic problems. Confuse the two at your peril.
To start with, a social problem requires training, in which a child is indoctrinated with dangerous behavior. The only way that this child could be that is if his parents, or close adults, have been butchering animals in front of him for quite a while now.
However, this type of child *might* be trained to not do that.
If, however, the child has an inherent, organic brain problem, no amount of training or discipline will correct it. They are a danger to everyone around them, possibly even themselves. All a good beating will accomplish is to speed up the time when they attack humans.
The very first thing, and because this is a major public safety situation, should be paid for by the government, is a very thorough psychiatric examination by at least two psychiatrist experts in criminally pathological behavior.
The one thing they will determine is “Should this child be institutionalized for life, or put under close examination for life?”
Even with the latter, his permanent file should be marked to indicate that under no circumstances should he be allowed near animals or young children, and that he should be considered a suspect in any local event involving brutality.
The Good Son.
I think the kid can be saved. I certainly wouldn’t advocate some of the serial-murderer style tactics being advocated on this thread. Seriously? He is 8.
Not everyone who bludgeons a dog to death grows up to be a mass murderer. Yes, it was wrong, and yes, he needs to be guided and watched. But not castrated or murdered. For Pete’s sake.
We are not rational adults at age 8. Not by a long shot. We pretty much only know what we have had taught/modeled to us at that point. There is hope for this boy.
Does he wish people off to the corn field?
old twlightzone show.
Bump
There may be hope for this boy, but;
At whose expense and at whose peril ?
This anti-social creature needs to be removed from society before he escalates.
Would you invite him over for a play date with your kid ?
A town of 500 and nearly all are related. The responses from these people lead me to think inbreeding has rendered the whole lot of them ignorant.
The kid’s parents are cousins who can’t stand each other.
I’m doubtful psychiatric treatment would help.
“It is believed that the boy used gardening tools he found in the shed of Cory Hodder to kill the birds.”
From another article I found online:
“Cory Hodder was arrested for failure to secure the tools, which are now considered Dangerous Weapons since they have been used in a criminal act.” ;)
Drop him off in Hillary Clinton’s village.
They just need to read Dr. Samenow. Speck, Gacy, Dahmer, Hitler; they were all dangerous, messed up eight year olds once upon a time.
This is why I believe in postpartum abortions.
