FORMER VP AL GORE has been cleared of any sexual misconduct by Portland Oregon, police.

Portland investigators reopened the case after the ENQUIRER reported allegations made by masseuse Molly Haggerty in 2006.

Due to a credible lack of evidence, the Portland Police Bureau says it is not recommending prosecution.

A spokesperson for the Oscar winning/Noble Prize winner issued a statement:

"Mr. Gore unequivocally and emphatically denied this accusation when he first learned of its existence three years ago.

"He respects and appreciates the thorough and professional work of the Portland authorities and is pleased that this matter has now been resolved."

Portland is a far-left bastion. They’ve already elected two leftist sex pervert Mayors (Neil Goldschmidt and Sam Adams), so it’s no surprise they won’t charge Gore. If he were a Republican, however...

Exactly. Not much has changed from the days of feudal kingdoms, has it? I can't really see how the lifestyles, wealth, power, and privileges of our modern-day political elite are materially any different from royalty in the era of Henry VIII.

We're kidding ourselves if we think we are governed by public servants who represent us with the ideal of "of the people, by the people, for the people". Maybe that's how our country was intended and functioned for a while, but now we've reverted back to the exact same sort of subjugation to royalty that we originally fought a war to escape from.

Based on this happy ending, maybe John Edwards should move for a change of venue.

I thought women never lie about rape? That’s what they told us during the Duke Lacrosse Frame.

>>Due to a credible lack of evidence, the Portland Police Bureau says it is not recommending prosecution.<<

Shouldn’t this be “lack of credible evidence”.?

This is why women don’t come forward in sex cases. She looks like the fool and he looks like a champion.

Anyone with half a brain knows that he is guilty as the day is long and further those dollies giving the rub and scrubs in your hotel room for a grand a pop usually take care of other biz as well. Ole Al must really be a weird dude for her to drop him in the grease or else he was unlucky that night and got a true sunday school teacher! After all he was just spending the money he made off his climate BS...

I guess it could be said he was interested in the "greenie for his weenie" exchange....

No... their official release said “NO PROSECUTION”... that is NOT the same as innocent!

For the utter villainy of the hoax of AGW, I think Gore deserves any bad thing that might befall him. That doesn’t mean he is guilty of this particular charge.
Some aspects of the case seemed genuine, but parts did not ring true. So, for me, it remains an open question.

In any case, this article demonstrates that the Media cannot be counted on for an accurate rendition of the facts:

1. “FORMER VP AL GORE has been cleared of any sexual misconduct by Portland Oregon, police. “
NO, he was not. All they did was drop the charges.

2. “Due to a credible lack of evidence, the Portland Police Bureau says it is not recommending prosecution. “

Three words are out of order: “credible,” and “lack of.”

The sentence SHOULD read: “lack of credible evidence...”

Another story from the same glorious city:

“Accordingly, we have concluded there is insufficient evidence to charge, let alone convict, Adams with illegal sexual contact with a minor.”
http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2009/06/portland_mayor_sam_adams_wont.html

In both cases, they chose not to prosecute. “insufficient credible evidence...” was given as the reason/excuse.

p.s. “Words mean things.”

Shows what crap the “good” newspapers are. The National Enquirer actually reports news that DOESN’T go along with their “narrative” from prior stories.

In keeping with your brilliant insight. The dispensation came too late for the Duke of Diddly Squat to be invited to the royal wedding - uniting the Houses of Humbug and Badstuff.

Like this is a big surprise.

And Rangel’s recommended punishment by investigators is a “reprimand”.

And the media refuses to blast B.H.O. for this inept responses to the economy, oil spill, threats by Iran.

No one gives daily death counts in Afghanistan, despite it becoming worse every day.

The leftist tilt of our institutions: government, church, academia, and media is helping to destroy America.
