Well, the Irish side of me thinks it would be fitting if the fruit was picked by illegals.....

But seriously, how far would an arrangement go? How about those gift tins of popcorn? They are real popular at my work and they seem to last so everyone gets a little. (Carmel popcorn for me.)

You should call their public affairs office and ask. Also, they might think they were being poisoned if someone just delivered them some random fruit. Maybe a nice letter to the chief, and ask him to share it.

Just make a note that David Salgado doesn’t get any popcorn or fruit. He’s the Phoenix police officer who filed a lawsuit against SB 1070 because he opposed it’s implementation. Phooey with him.

Time to get in touch with David Spade. He personally bought a number of long rifles for the department a few years ago. He may want to partake in another “donation” to which I would happily contribute.

Maybe you could talk with the local Moose club (or other org.) and see if they would donate the hall for a benefit. Admission tickets could be sold, have beer garden, and a chinese auction. Admission tickets could even be sold online so people out of the area could donate too.

Donate 100% of all profits to assiting the wounded/deceased officers and their families. Maybe present a plaque to the police department for their service and sacrafices.

It would be a lot of work, but I'm sure a lot of local community businesses/groups would like to help. The police would see the community turn out in appreciation.

Just an idea.....

May I suggest, esp given the recent loss of an officer in Feenix, that you consider getting some of your friends off their collective cabbooses and start writing letters to the editor, call to local radio shows etc?

Might be better recieved than food...

Dunno - your call.

Horrible idea, anything edible.
How can you assure yourself who sent it?

Would you eat anything that might have been sent by the foreign criminals or their supporters?
